Jill Carter works as a natural health practitioner in Somerset, England. She is a registered nurse who offers dietary and nutritional counseling; and she also practices healing, therapeutic massage, acupressure, and aromatherapy. This is her 1st book. Alison Edwards set up the Polden Naturopathic Centre in Somerset, England, more than 20 years ago. By eliminating most palm oils, peanuts and nuts from your diet, you may solve many problems. Soy butter and soy nuts are just as delicious.
The list of symptoms that indicate a food intolerance is a long one and you are sure to find a symptom here that could include frequent headaches, fatigue or insomnia. A short discussion about environmental causes for allergies is discussed - chemicals used in household cleaning can be significant in skin allergies. Switching to some of the Seventh Generation products can help or try Mrs. Meyers cleaning products.

From my perspective, the recipes in this book would add to my diet and help me include more foods than eliminate foods. So, this book can be seen from two different perspectives. I don't see any deprivation in sight...this looks like a celebration of new foods and eclectic recipes to try as soon as you can make a trip to the health food section of your local store.

probably the best of it's kind

While I didn't follow the diet, this is the only book I've found that really has some good combined allergy recipes. There are still a few foods that can cause problems in some of their recipes (eg.tomato, barley) but it still seems like the best I've seen.

Same book ,different title.

This book is EXACTLY the same as "The Elimination Diet Cookbook" by Carter and Edwards. Don't buy them both! The diet is REALLY bizarre. I would recommend one of the other elimination diet books. This one doesn't really make any sense.
